This is such a great story written with Cathryn Hein’s classic humour, emotions and lots of feel good happiness, MS Hein knows how to pull a reader in and bring her characters to life on the pages, this is a must read I did love being back in Levenham and catching up with friends.
Alice Lindner is a horticulturalist in Levenham she is running for the title of Show Queen and winning this is the be all and end all for Alice, all funds raised are going to charity and Alice wants to do this for her mother who she lost to cancer four years before, she also broke up with her boyfriend Eddie then as well and now she has dared him to enter the contest as well, this is going to be a battle to the end and her emotions are going to run riot.
Eddie Argyle is a farmer with a big heart, he is caring, loving and an all -round great guy, yes he did go off the rails and become a so called ladies’ man a little when Alice dropped him, but Alice has always held his heart and now the battle is one to do what he can to win her back even if it means doing some really weird things to raise money for the cause and Eddie is a fighter for what he loves.
There are some laugh out loud moments as Eddie is raising money throughout this story, there are some very emotional moments as well and there are some moments that I could have given Alice a good shake as well, wining was everything to her and I really felt for Eddie but of course true love will win through and Alice will soon realize that Eddie will always be her true love that they are meant to be together, this is a story that I highly recommend I love Eddie and Alice so much and of course Granny B is the best. Thank you MS Hein I loved this one.
