When I read the blurb of this book I thought it sounded quirky and good and I was right, although it is not the normal romances I read it is a beautiful love story that had me laughing out loud and yes shedding a lot of tears. This book tells the story of two nineteen year olds who have such totally different families, which when they meet lets them open up and see a different life as they fall in love.
Maddie lives with her mother and disabled sister there are no fathers in the picture but there is lots of love through the struggle that is keeping everything as normal as possible for Bee, Maddie’s sister who has autism among other problems. There is no time for a personal life for Maddie and her and her mother work different shifts so as Bee is always cared for, but then Maddie meets Albert at the riding school that she takes Bee to, her world opens up and is about to change in such a good way.
Albert is still living at home with his cruel father and loving mother, although not happy at home he is working and saving to get away on his own, he loves the beach and surfing and has plans for the future but at the moment he works at a horse stable where they give riding lessons to disabled kids and he loves it he has real knack with the horses and works hard, then comes the day that he meets Maddie and it is like a light bulb goes off for him he is drawn to her and fate will get them on their first date.
This is such a moving and emotional story with all of the right feels as Maddie and Albert get to know each other, they open up about things that they have never spoken of before, see what other families are like and have such a fun time falling in love, the beach is a big part in the story as is Bee, Maddie’s sister. Maddie is a beautiful caring and loving heroine always there for the people she loves and shows such strength and Albert wow what a guy he knows how to make a girl laugh and smile he is caring and loving as well. I did really love this one there really are so many emotions throughout, ups and downs along the way, I highly recommend this one it is going to stay with me for a long time, thank you MS Robinson for a fabulous story.
